Absolute Poker: an extensive review of NetPoker
Absolute Poker is still more or less new in the on-line poker
universe. AbsolutePoker is a standalone card-room and there are not any skins or other sorts of partner websites. The cards room is unusual looking and clearly has a quite a bit different style from almost all the other sites around. A few poker players rather like its style while a few others don`t; it`s basically about what you personally like best, and you`ve got to go see it yourself.

One may find a small number of negatives to Absolute Poker. A major concern centers on the fact that the buttons are set up in a different sequence than the other web-based cards-rooms. On most sites the buttons are ordered - left to right - fold, call and, furthest to the right, raise. For AbsolutePoker the buttons run Call, raise and, then, Fold. This might sound trivial; however, if you play cards on several different websites you may forget where you are the odd time and strike the wrong button. Another thing I have found problematic is the user support. At first it was rather high-quality, but afterward it was less helpful and the staff answering the emails didn`t seem to be knowledgeable about what we were discussing and, they weren`t extremely useful.

One may find, too, several good points to AbsolutePoker. First, you may modify your icons. You are able to take any picture file you have saved on your computer and use it as your icon that appears any time you are on the poker-table. Yet another good feature is that the text appears in front of your avatar at the card-table. As a result, it`s much less difficult to communicate with other bettors, to truly get into a conversation. But the greatest benefit of the internet site is that the bettors are not especially able cardsplayers. In both tourneys and circle poker games (at real money tables), the users tend to be fairly low-caliber, and they enjoy bluffing quite often - generally not with skill.

All in all, they have several strong points as well as a few issues. All in all, though, I would argue that the main issue remains whether you enjoy the look as well as the ambiance of the internet site. Some bettors particularly appreciate its look and a few others genuinely do not like it. They have a reasonable regular pool of bettors these days, if still a smaller stable than the large pokerrooms, and are getting bigger gradually. With all this in mind, should you be drawn and are ready to test it out, give one of their free-rolls a try. They have a number of tournaments each day, so you have the chance to try it out for yourself.

Good points

- less skilled gamers participating in tournaments and on the money tables
- large numbers of freerolls
- many satellite tournaments intended for World Series of Poker
- unusual programs, no skins or associate websites
- unusual atmosphere to the site

Disadvantages

- lack of engagement at higher value cardtables (above one to two dollars )
- too small number of of Sit-and-Go`s in excess of 10 plus 1 dollars
- glitches in the applications
- irregular-quality customer service
